After graduating from Kitasato University's School of Veterinary Medicine, Yasushi worked at a garden center growing and pruning plants, and acquired woodworking skills at Sugi Co., Ltd. in Odawara. In 2013, he founded Inui Woodworks Co., Ltd. Yasushi excels in creating small wood turned crafts that can be mass-produced using automatic lathes, creating wood turned parts and enchanting animal-themed home goods.
